IGNITING and EQUIPPING FOLLOWERS of JESUS

BECAUSE THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR WHAT YOU CARRY.

Our Vision, Manifesto
& Statement of Belief

  • We see a space to encounter God’s presence outside the walls and structures of a church setting where we are awakened to the robust nature of the Holy Spirit who brings to us life-change, healing and equips us to live a kingdom lifestyle in an upside down world.

We see a people ignited in prayer to unleash God’s kingdom on earth.

We see a people set free from their bondage and hopelessness into a life of freedom, hope, authority and power in Jesus’ name.

We see His Bride engaging with their true identity as sons and daughters in Christ to affect a world that is confused about their identities.

We see a younger generation walking and leading others in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit

We see gatherings around the presence of God where our worship and adoration cuts through our unlikeness to Jesus and presents us at His feet for healing.

We see a holy people unlocking and expressing their creativity through the arts into the community that we live in

We see a world that has discovered the intimate, life-transforming presence of God, through a people, who walk in His presence and are practitioners of the gifts of His Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that prayer unleashes the Kingdom of God on earth and that God is good and He delights in us.

We believe that we have a mind that needs renewing everyday so that we are no longer caught off guard by the patterns of this world that are habituated in our hearts and minds.

We believe that God always asks us to move first in faith, then He joins us accompanied by grace, to do the things that we cannot do without Him.

We believe in risking it all for His Kingdom.

We believe that beauty matters and that the environment we invite others into sets the tone for all to feel safe, loved and home.

We love how being creative inspires us to play and be childlike. Creativity allows us to relate to the Spirit of God that’s fresh and new, where we find ourselves reflecting His very nature. Experiencing through our senses the creativity and artistry of others moves our hearts closer to God’s heart.

We believe that investing in the younger generation is a responsibility and a joy.

    We believe in family.

We believe in lingering late into the night with friends and family or after a night of ministry to soak in some more.

We believe in a local coffee house where we come together and are known and know others.

We believe that the old and the modern complement each other just as the young and the old are both needed. The youth bring their passion and ideas and the older generation bring wisdom and experience.

We believe that celebration matters. Birthdays and summer barbecues, beach days, and surf days, the first fire in the winter, the first rain, the Christmas season all interrupt the mundane.

We believe in the Word, child-like wonder, building things that last. We believe in embracing new worlds and cultures, red Ugandan dirt that stays on your shoes, wild worship and miracles.

  • CedarHouse

    • Igniting and equipping FOLLOWERS OF JESUS because the world is waiting for what you carry.

    The Bible

    • We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

    Trinity

    • We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is a loving and holy God. (Romans 8; Ephesians 1:13-14)

    Redemption

    • We believe that every single person is important to God and that mankind was created good and in union with God. However, voluntary sin separated us from God and the only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 3:23; 5:12-21; 1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9).

    Salvation

    • We believe that the only way to heaven is through an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless and Holy Spirit empowered life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. (John 3:16, 14:6; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Matthew 16:16)

    Empowerment

    • We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts including prophecy, speaking in tongues, signs, miracles, and wonders for the equipping of the church to reach the world. (Ephesians 4:1-16; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 2:1-12;1 Corinthians 12:4-10; 1 Corinthians 14:4-5)

    Transformation

    • We believe that God wants all of us to experience true freedom, healed and transformed, so that we can live healthy and blessed lives as a means to empower others into the life of Christ. (Galatians 5:1; Matthew 15:30; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10)

    The Church

    • We believe in the power and significance of the Church, unity in the body of believers and the necessity to meet regularly together in authentic relationship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’. (Hebrews 10:24-25; Matthew 18:20; Acts 2:42; Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 4:11)

    Eternity

    • We believe that when we die, we will either be separated from God by sin or united with Him eternally through faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. (John 3:16; John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:10,15)

    Second Coming

    • We believe that Jesus is coming back again as He promised and will reign forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

ALL ABOUT CEDARHOUSE

CedarHouse began with a simple longing :
There HAS to be more.

In 2015, Pete and Patti found themselves tired of a powerless, predictable version of Jesus. They longed to rediscover the real Jesus—full of freedom, healing, and life—and to help others experience the same.

A spark ignited when Patti saw a story about a white barn used for ministry. A dream was birthed that day of a White Barn: a place of prayer, equipping, worship, and beauty… a place where people could encounter the living God.  Disappointment and settling for a life of fear, anxiety and bondage was the norm for so many believers and this was a far cry from the true gospel. From the start, CedarHouse was imagined as a home for healing through various avenues of prayer, worship and equipping. It would be a community space where the arts and creativity are celebrated, a coffee house for those who might never walk into a church, and a prayer room open to anyone that might wander in unexpectedly and for those purposely seeking hope. The testimonies that have flooded the prayer room have been humbling and all that was birthed in prayer is coming to fruition.

Make It

In late 2019, after decades in traditional ministry, Pete and Patti were sent out to begin this new work. God quickly brought a Spirit-filled team who shared the vision, and in 2020 CedarHouse was born. For five years, their home was filled every Friday night  with people young and old longing to encounter the Living God. For some CedarHouse was a filling station, others stayed gaining community and slowly understanding their true identity as a son and daughter of the King, many learning how to replace old belief systems for the Truth. Worship, teaching,  prayer and extended ministry time was always available with no time restraints and no one turned away. Prayer appointments with team members walking them through trauma, unforgiveness and false belief systems is foundational to what they do. A small prayer room nearby became a refuge for hundreds—walls soaked in the prayers they dared to pray in hopes that God was still a God of healing…and He came.

In 2023, just three years into the ministry, CedarHouse was approved for a loan and with the generosity of so many they were able to get into a 1908 Victorian home just outside the beloved Orange Circle—now the home of the ministry and coffee house.

In June 2025, after two years of renovation and design, prayer, generosity, and city-meeting marathons, CedarHouse opened its doors.  God is moving, and the House is full of life.

FUN FACTS!
