Pete & Patti Shambrook

The FOUNDERS

FOUNDERS | PASTORS OF CEDARHOUSE
CO-FOUNDERS OF CEDARHOUSE SOUL

Pete and Patti have been married for 38 years. Pete an Aussie and Patti a Canadian met and fell in love in California where they have built their lives together. They have three grown children: Dane and his wife Lauren, Connor, and Sophie and her husband Marco. They are also grandparents to Shepherd Judah, Noah Jude and another on the way!

Their love of family and legacy drove them into deeper wholeness and intimacy with Jesus and ignited in them a desire to understand and practice prayer at a deeper level. They learned to walk in the authority given to them and to understand God’s Kingdom and purpose on earth. As change began to happen and they saw God move in their family, they were compelled to spend their lives helping others understand the warfare they had encountered and the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

Pete began as a worship leader but as he began pastoring, (almost 30 years ago) he knew this was not only an extension of his worship but what he was made for. He holds an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute of Spiritual Formation at Talbot Seminary. He carries a balance of compassion for the broken that are held in bondage with God’s desire for Holiness and freedom.

Patti homeschooled their kids for many years. More than anything she has done with her life, being a mama was her greatest joy. She sees motherhood’s triumphs and failures both humbling and sacred and deeply forming. For the last ten years Patti has been licensed as a MFT helping others experience healing to become all they were created for.

Starting CedarHouse together in 2019 was another grand adventure and one they got to do in total partnership with one another. They felt so compelled that this was what God was asking them to do that anything else would have been disobedient. The Lord seemed to use every gift sacrifice and weakness in them to open the doors of CedarHouse. He certainly surpassed all they hoped and imagined and there is so much to come!

  • MINISTRY & PRAYER LEADS

Trent and Tracy have been married for 30 years. Trent, a probate and estate-planning attorney, provides CedarHouse the legal guidance needed to stay on the straight and narrow. Born and raised in Huntington Beach (where he currently lives and works), Trent is a lifelong soccer coach, passionate about teamwork and the development of identity. Such traits dovetail with CedarHouse’ s priorities. When not in front of a computer screen, Trent loves to spend time in Montana, casting a dry fly in hopes of tempting a curious trout. Tracy is a former educator and now a mom to their three grown children and sweet furry pup. She has traveled to Uganda to help equip young women. Tracy is involved with several ministries that encourage people to walk in their God- given authority and freedom. Her favorite quote is “Death and life reside in the tongue.” She is committed to seeing the love of Jesus transform our world.

  • MINISTRY & PRAYER LEADS

Jeff and Ginger have had active roles in ministry for most of their lives. With an MA in education, Ginger taught preschool and elementary school for over 17 years and traveled to over 10 countries doing humanitarian work, working with orphans and teaching the arts. Throughout her adventures, she has always used her prophetic gifts to bless and encourage others. Jeff was in youth ministry for 6 years, a high school teacher for 17 years and is currently in the construction industry. Jeff has a heart for mentoring young people starting their own businesses. Jeff and Ginger have been on the core team at CedarHouse from the beginning. They are an integral part of the ministry team serving in many capacities from admin and prayer to doing almost anything that needs doing at CedarHouse. Jeff also serves on the board of directors. They have two children and live on a farm in Trabuco Canyon.

  • MINISTRY & PRAYER LEADS

Jeff and Ruth have logged together thirty-seven years of marriage; the births of two children and the adoption of two shortly after birth; and four career changes. In 2003 they headed up the prayer ministry for a local church and this began their time leading ministries together. They prayed, led prayer meetings, and recruited and encouraged prayer warriors at their church for several years until choosing more incognito ministry roles—asking God for His direction as they hearkened to His voice as for whom and what to pray inside and outside the church. A former assistant English professor and ghostwriter by trade, Ruth authored a book in 2013—Speak to Your Heart—a book on biblical blessings. She wrote 69 blessings, and Jeff (owner of a rubber-parts manufacturing company) penned the final one, making it a co-adventure. At Cedarhouse, they team up to bring inner healing/deliverance to individuals who desire freedom in Jesus.  For life together—directed by Jesus—is what they like best.

And as a self-described non-artist, Ruth also draws—and sometimes paints—portraits in her time with the Lord, asking Him what He says to the individual He has led her to draw. Those pictures end up in the prayer room at 611 W. Chapman for the taking by those who see themselves or loved ones in the drawings.

Together, they call Costa Mesa, CA home—a city they love deeply and long to see marked by a rising Jesus Generation, one that will carry light, love, and revival through the arts, through music, and through everyday life and all of this together through creative expressions and encounters with Holy Spirit.

  • MINISTRY & PRAYER LEAD

Kylee is an ordained minister with over a decade of experience in church ministry, where she has worked with children, families, and communities in various capacities.

Kylee's ministry journey expanded beyond the church when she served as Executive Director of a homeless resource center in Orange County, which she launched from the ground up. This season provided invaluable experience in nonprofit leadership and working alongside city and government entities, broadening her skill set and deepening her heart for holistic community transformation. Currently, she serves as Missions Director and Executive Assistant for Agape Freedom Fighters, a global equipping ministry dedicated to raising up and empowering believers worldwide.

Kylee is passionate about seeing everyone—regardless of their past or present—experience the goodness of God. She loves to equip and empower others to use their gifts to impact their communities and nations. Her infectious joy and the evident presence of the Lord make it hard not to be encouraged when you're around her. Above all, the spread of the gospel is her highest priority, and she is hungry to see heaven manifest on earth.

  • CEDARHOUSE COFFEE LEAD

Larssen Marcus is passionate about the art of coffee and bringing missions to business. Larssen attended YWAM, where the Lord gave her a dream to start a coffee shop grounded in Kingdom culture. Her dream and the original vision for CedarHouse coffee were a perfect fit! In the years prior to opening Larssen set out working behind bar and traveling to different states interning at shops with similar vision. Larssen leads her team with creativity and intentionality, bringing hospitality to another level.

  • ARTS MINISTRY LEAD

Andrea Luna-Reece is an artist whose passion for creativity flows from her love for Jesus and her desire to see people healed, restored, and walking in the fullness of who God created them to be. She believes art is more than beauty—it is a language of the Spirit, a tangible way to encounter the Father’s love and to experience His healing presence.

Through her ceramics business, Luna Reece Ceramics, Andrea shapes clay into vessels that carry both function and meaning. Each piece is a reflection of her belief that God, the Master Potter, forms and restores lives with the same care and intention.

Andrea’s heart is to see creativity released in others as a tool for transformation, freedom, and worship. She longs to equip and inspire people to step into their own God-given creativity, knowing that art has the power to unlock hearts, spark healing, and call forth identity in Christ.

  • CEDARHOUSE SOUL CO-FOUNDERS

Dane and Lauren met on the mission field in Uganda in 2016, where they spent their days discipling children, supporting young mothers, and helping families walk through healing in the aftermath of a post-war culture. It was there that they learned to partner deeply with the Holy Spirit—seeing firsthand how God restores identity, lifts shame, and brings freedom to the brokenhearted.

They now live in Orange, CA, with their son, Shepherd. Together, Dane and Lauren continue their passion for transformation. Lauren ministers through inner healing, helping individuals encounter the love and voice of God in the places they feel stuck. Dane carries that same heart into his work as an executive coach—guiding leaders, entrepreneurs, and high performers to break limiting beliefs, step into God-given identity, and live with purpose, clarity, and boldness.

Whether in ministry or the marketplace, their mission is the same: to see people set free, restored, and fully alive in who God created them to be.
